Perfect Soak and Sip Pairings

One of my little indulgent pleasures is having a hot soak while sipping on a cup of tea. And, since I am a very scent oriented person matching my bath bombs and my teas is a fun exercise in sensory enrichment. It creates a lovely immersive moment. So, today I am going to recommend SEVEN tea and bath bomb pairings. The teas are from Tabletop Teas, of course, and the bath bombs are from Beaute and the Bath (a woman-owned, small batch, geek inspired business that I adore).

TeaK421 and Hana. Hana is a fizzy ball, of citrus spectacular. It’s orange marmalade, basil, orange flower, and warm notes like amber and sandalwood. I paired this with TeaK421 which is also a citrus powerhouse. TeaK421’s bergamot and candied mandarins are a perfect match. If you want a morning soak that is going to wake you up and put a cheery spring in your step, then this combo is for you!

Katara and Blueberry Thyme. If you are, however, looking for a more subtle scent and flavour to help you ease into your morning, but still boost your spirits then this is the combination you should use. This bath bomb is bursting with blueberry, citrus, rosemary and thyme, vanilla, and musk. This pairs well with Katara, which is a blueberry vanilla delight. Grab a book because this soak and sip has gotten Blueberry Muffin (from the Strawberry Shortcake cartoons) written all over it.

Caduceus Clay and Shiva. Shiva is a divine melange of sandalwood, musk, violets, lavender, and peaches. I have paired this with Caduceus Clay which is also an earthy, floral delight. The baozhong green tea base combined with the a bouquet of flower petals and a hint of strawberry are reminiscent of a thick forest during the heart of summer. And, Shiva has that same captivating, magical escape vibe. Super great pairing for your forest witch recharge!

Merle and Balefire. Merle is uncommon fusion of earthiness, spice, fruit, and floral. Ginger, peppercorns, raisins, and calendula petals take you away to a place of rich, dark earth. Similarly, Balefire, which is inspired by Druidic bonfires, mixes ginger, pepper, dogwood flowers, sandalwood, and musk to evoke that same secret and sacred space. If you are craving a soak that has the warmth and allurement of a bonfire night, then here you go!

Rogue and Brigid. Looking to escape into the back corner of a tavern where you can indulge in some people-watching while sipping whiskey? This combination is guaranteed to create the illusion. Brigid is rich bourbon, whiskey, musk, and cigar uplifted with subtle florals and bergamot. Pair this with Rogue which is bourbon-soaked tea mixed with smoky lapsong souchong and tangy, but rich caramel.

Magnus and Raspberry Truffle. Maybe want you really want is to feel like you are having a fun-filled, delicious, and delightful romp through Willy Wonka’s magical candy park. Look no further. Raspberry Truffle is as advertised! Rich Belgian chocolate and perky raspberry scents mix with some peach and vanilla. And, Magnus is dark, indulgent chocolate with strawberries and cinnamon. This combination will make you feel like you fell asleep inside a bonbon.

Dark Elf and Maya. If you are looking for that classic, relaxing soak that helps you wind down, calm down, and recenter, then reach for this combination. Dark elf blends vanilla and super dark chocolate with currants and lavender flowers. It’s a decadent get-away. Maya is pure, pacifying lavender. Together they will lull you into soothing cocoon of self-care bliss. Honestly, the ideal way to unwind.
